4 Levels of Care—all personally handled by stepfamily expert and therapist Ron L. Deal—are available to meet your need:

1. Relationship Phone Coaching – Designed for couples and families with moderate to good health who want to proactively improve their relationships.  This phone coaching relationship is designed to help you enrich and mature your marriage (including communication and sexual intimacy), parenting, or personal relationships.  Useful for individuals and married couples; great premarital counseling for dating or engaged couples!  Evening hours available.  This is not phone counseling.  To learn more, click here…
2. Telephone Counseling – Individuals and couples living in Texas and Arkansas can engage in phone counseling with Ron (limited to these two states due to licensing laws).  Sessions take place over the phone and cost $110 for 50-60 minutes (plus the long distance call).  Evening hours available.  Because telephone counseling has some natural limitations, it is not best for everyone.  Call for a free 20 minute consultation with Ron to determine if this is a good option for you: 806-356-7701.
3. Outpatient Couple and Stepfamily Therapy – For those living within driving distance of Amarillo out-patient therapy is available for individuals, couples, and family members.  Sessions are generally an hour in length and cost $110.  Call for an appointment: 806-356-7701.
4. Marriage Therapy Intensives (2-3 days) – At a time of crisis, how much good would it do to sit down with a therapist for one hour?  Or maybe you’ve tried counseling only to discover you know more about the pressures of marriage in a stepfamily than the counselor does. 

Now imagine sitting down with stepfamily expert and trusted therapist Ron Deal in a sequestered retreat environment for two or three days in order to work through your marriage or stepfamily issues!  Personalized Marriage Intensive Therapy from the most referenced Christian stepfamily ministry in the country can help you address many issues such as post-affair recovery, marital impasses and trust issues, family conflict, parenting and stepparenting dilemmas, and sex therapy. 

This is not another workshop or seminar.  This is time-focused therapy for your specific concerns. 

For years people throughout the US have asked Successful Stepfamilies for a referral to a competent local Christian stepfamily therapist who understands the intricacies and unique challenges of remarriage, stepparenting, and stepfamily development.  Because such a referral list simply doesn’t exist, Ron decided to open his local clinical practice to people nationwide.  Ron is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor who trains therapists around the country in how to conduct remarriage and stepfamily therapy. 

Sitting on the rim of the Palo Duro Canyon (America’s second largest canyon) in Amarillo, Texas The Refuge at River Falls provides your accommodations, meals, and a safe, comfortable, confidential environment in which to engage in counseling.  Here, you and Ron can have focused time to resolve issues, reconnect, and create hope for the future.  We don't promise miracles, but do trust that with the Lord's help, great strides toward transforming your relationship can be gained. 

After the intensive, Ron will walk beside you as you live out your change process.  Four follow-up phone sessions will be scheduled and more can be arranged if necessary. 

A reasonable fee has been determined to cover the block of therapy time, accommodations, meals, etc. that are required for Intensive Therapy to occur.  Only your transportation to and from Amarillo is not included in the costs below.
