My husband and I married after only knowing each other for 6 months.  While I would not suggest this for everyone it is still working for us 14 years later.  We both could never have been happier and more fulfilled.  But this only came about because God brought together two soulmates. 

We brought to our new blended family four children, his two and my two.  Three of them lived with us and were ages 12, 14, and 16; the one who did not was 19 years old.  I must say it was and is still tough at times, but through the grace of God we have and will always manage. 

I am visiting this website because, since we have married we both have been able to retire from jobs that we would not have been able to if we were not a couple supportive of God's mission for each other.  After being single for 13 years I never expected this to happen so suddenly.  But I knew within one week that God had brought this special man into my life for a reason.

I am now a graduate student in Counseling at Dallas Baptist University and I was looking for information to include in a class project about blended families.  I love this web site, and will give it to future clients, and colleagues for reference.  Thanks for being here!
